This 1st Pressing was made from 1969 through to 1971 when the labels were changed to Lilac. However most copies actually date from 1971 when Man became more popular.

True 1969 1st Pressings feature a nearly 'paper thin' Gatefold Laminated 'Floppy' Cover, similar to other Pye releases from this period (such as The Kinks 'Arthur' from 1969 which features an identical cover structural design). Any copies with a slightly thicker non-floppy cover date from late 1970-71 when 'Garrod & Lofthouse' improved their cover thickness (no doubt because the early ones wore so badly). Only True 1969 1st Pressings feature the nearly 'paper thin' Laminated Garrod & Lofthouse 'Floppy' Cover.

Track A1 is credited on the A side label as:
1. (a) Prelude
(b) The Storm

First cat.nr. on cover, second on label.

Orange labels, gatefold sleeve.
Later pressings have ''lilac'' (1972) or ''sunrise'' labels (1973 through to 1975).

Some French imported copies have a golden sticker: "Importation vogue international industries"

A1. Prelude / The Storm
A2. It Is As It Must Be
B1. Spunk Box
B2. My Name Is Jesus Smith
B3. Parchment And Candles
B4. Brother Arnold's Red And White Striped Tent
